Second Trimester

June 23, 2004

We had our 22 week ultrasound today and all is well in the Lynch womb.  Squishy has all of its parts and nothing
extra. The tech was great.  He did all of his measurements first and then we just watched the baby move for about 1/2 hr.  It kept flipping from breech to head down, back and forth.  Then he kept the transducer right on its feet
and it kept tap dancing on it.  The only sucky thing is, he was not going to give us any pics of the baby.  His machine did not have a traditional printer attached, so he doesn't give out pictures.  But when I asked if
there was any way to get any pic at all, he had me hop back up on the table and he spent another 20 minutes getting pics of the baby's face and profile. So what we have look like xray films of squishy, but Damian said our scanner has the ability to scan them. At least I have *something*.  So when/if I ever find it among the rest of our boxes, I'll scan the pics.  Squishy sure is a cutie!

June 15, 2004

Another appointment with Beth today.  Everything with baby is checking out great.  I'm still not gaining much weight this pregnancy.  But Beth is not concerned as babe is growing just as it should be.  When Beth was measuring my belly, she was also feeling around for the baby.  She located the back, and could tell head from bum.  Then she took my hands and showed me how to feel for the same things so that I could always tell which way babe was laying.  Well, when I was feeling the baby, I felt a little lump about and inch and half long or so,and she felt it too and told me that it was the baby's foot!  So cool. We have an ultrasound scheduled for next week too.  Can't wait to see squishy again.
